Momitsu V880N delivery annoyance

Link: http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?action=track&tracknumbers=057289561002144

This morning I happened to look at the FedEx site to check the progress of my shipment.

I saw that at 4:04 am on October 30th (today) it was on vehicle for delivery. So, I rushed around to see about making a spot for it and buying some of the extra cables that I would need to make it fit my mess.

Well, it never showed up....since the ETA was November 1st, I guess they didn't bother to actually send the vehicle out to deliver it.

Though there have been other occasions where FedEx ground has shown up at my apartment on a Saturday to make a delivery...actually everytime it was rather unexpected. A few times I had to make the mad dash to find clothes

But, I guess this was one of those times they choose to disappoint me instead.

Not sure if my order of adapters and cables would actually arrive in time though. I ordered those from a different company on October 25th, and got notice that they mailed it USPS on October 29th.

Though the plan for working things in is still evolving.

Software Purchases

Does time fly?

Wait, I blogged on the 19th that I was starting my eval of Spambully. I thought I had 2 weeks to test it, but it expired this morning.

Anyways...I registered it.

Meanwhile, last night I decided to pickup an additional to license of RoboForms. Been using this for a long time on my main desktop, decided to have registered copies for my laptop and my computer at work.

Always seems strange buying my own software to use on my work computer.... ;D

F5D7130 & WPA update

Well, I opted to switch back to WEP...found my throughput had dropped off using WPA, and for streaming video... speed is more important than security.

iPod bounce

ARGH!!! 88|

I bounced my 4G 40GB iPod for the first time today..... it survived. Wonder how many lives it has left now? I didn't track how many times I bounced my 3G before it died.

The most common way of bouncing my iPod....the headphone cord get's caught on my chair or clothing and I get up from my cubicle and the iPod launches off of my desk as it tries to follow me out.

For some reason...Friday afternoons around now...I'm

PRTG

I've always been curious just how much traffic was flowing in and out of my home network, namely the pattern of the IVS usage.

Now I have been monitoring my broadband connection using the monitoring service at Broadband Reports.com. Which gives me graphs that look like this:

Which just shows that my latency goes up when I'm sending lots of shows.

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
