Belkin F5D7130 Firmware 4.03.03

Link: http://www.belkin.com

On a strange impulse, I decided to take a peak at the Belkin site to see if there was a new firmware for my 802.11g APs.

Well, I was rewarded to find out that 4.03.03 dated 10/03/2004 existed. No release notes on what this version has. But, I immediately suspected that it would finally allow me to use WPA with WDS bridging.

So, I downloaded it and upgraded my APs.

The upgrade with pretty straight forward and I turned on WPA-PSK w/AES and everything seems fine now.

Wonder if I need to change my PSK every month like I was doing when I was using WEP-128bit encryption.

Of course, it isn't like I really need to worry about the traffic...its mostly shows that I'm sending to other people using IVS. Though that will change when I get a Momitsu V880N....

No feedback yet

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
