Serial Number Gripe

There ought to be a law....

...that if you need to pull up the serial number for something, that the serial number should be easily accessible without having to contort or disassemble, because it is hidden on the back on the device in difficult to read position and text.

Like fairly easy to retrieve the serial numbers for my ReplayTVs....or my Samsung DLP (its on the side).

sarah. word.: Sarah's Random Question Game

Link: http://sarahlane.typepad.com/sarahword/2005/02/sarahs_random_q.html

Let's all get to know each other better. Below is a list of random questions from yours truly (I've also graciously answered myself). Please copy and paste the questions into your comment post, but erase my answers and replace them with yours. We'll all be BFF in no time.
This is going to be SO fun!

  1. When you were born, how much did you weigh?

Don't know. But, I tried to be early...but the doctors made me stay inside a little longer :D
  2. What's your sugar poison?

    Dark Chocolate.
  3. If you had to choose between meat and cheese for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Then be specific.

Meat. I haven't met a meat I didn't like yet. Some of my favourites include Peking Duck, Sashmi (with lots of Wasabi ;) ), a nice big porterhouse....
  4. What, in your opinion, is the worst song ever?

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may incriminate myself or get my butt kicked....for admitting that I listened to it.
  5. Who was your very favorite teacher growing up, and why?

I'm going to say Mr. Kimmel. Showed me that there was nothing wrong with being an individual and not conforming to stereotypes, etc. Perhaps one of these days the rest of the world (and my parents) will catch up.
  6. What personal activity, when performed in public, bothers you the most?

I agree nail clipping at work is certain bothersome. Though I once worked for a manager that did it.
  7. Ok, so there's a $50 bill lying on the ground. You pick it up. Dumbfounded by your incredible luck, what do you selfishly purchase?

Something electronic or computer related, probably found at my nearby Best Buy store.
  8. Do you have a reoccuring nightmare? If so, explain.

    There is a tie.
    First, I also have the

I'm in college, and suddenly realize I've forgotten to go to an entire semester of math. I have to pass the class in order to graduate, but now I'm totally screwed on finals because you can't bullshit math. I panic and wonder how I could have been so careless.

Except instead of math, it is some Engineering course. OTOH, I did actually face writing two finals in my final year where I hadn't gone to a single class and needed a pass in both to graduate. They were both multiple-guess finals, so I did get D's in both classes....."D for Degree" :P

And, it has been almost 15 years since I was in University.

Second, is the recurring...I'm driving and the brakes don't work. I don't think I'll ever get over the car accident I had on November 4th, 1997. At least they eventually let me walk out of the hospital, despite the worry that I had done something at C4-C5....

  9. Name one place on Earth you've never been, but vow to visit at least once.

    There's too many to list....

My list includes Panama Canal, Alaska, Hawaii, Australlia, Japan.

Since my employer has eliminated carry over of vacation days....this is forcing me to consider realizing this. This June I'll be seeing Alaska. Don't know what is next on my list yet..... Will have to see if there is such as thing as cruised-out.

  10. You notice that question #9 wasn't really a question. You feel smart for catching such a small detail. What else can you do really well that reminds you how smart you are?

Fixing software bugs in other people's code ;D

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
