Bad Drives....ARGH!!!

Everybody says to stay away from the IBM Deathstars (now Hitatchi). I've recently had the bad luck with the Maxtor and Western Digital drives at home....and earlier this year, the Seagate drive in my work computer died. At least it wasn't very full, and I was still making regular personal backups of it.

But, drives exceed my capacity to backup...so it is getting to be a problem having backups. In fact, both my DVArchive servers run without backup....

Should probably start looking at some kind of improved backup strategy....along with rebuilding my Linux/DVArchive server. There's also a plan to upgrade the last of my ReplayTVs....to at least 250GB. And, other plans.

Though it'll all pretty much have to wait until I finish paying for my summer vacation (which I haven't finished racking those bills up yet :P )

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
