Engadget 1985 - A trip down memory lane....

Wow, I'm feeling nostaglic.... )-o

I sure wish some of the old ASCII art from my BBS (Lunatic Haven) had survived. Unfortunately, it was a rather abrupt transition from the death of my Amiga 3000 to landing on the Windows wagon.

The Amiga 1000 was such a cool machine....my BBS started out on one, I was running a Kickbench in one drive (that expanded the running system into a ramdisk) and the BBS messages on the other drive. The 2MB memory expansion set me back like $1K. It was some time later before I got my first harddrive...$1200 for 100MB was considered a great deal back then (the Amiga and Mac people got together to do a group purchase....)

It was also the machine that I taught myself C on....

Also hard to believe was that the C64 was $895 once.

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
