Guess it is time for a new UPS

But, I guess now it is time to do the new batteries thing again....but I think now I'll look at getting the new UPS that does AVR. Last summer I had gotten one for about $150, so I can probably find one of suitable form factor around that price now.

In my computer room, there are 3 other UPSs. 2 700VA AVR UPSs...one for my Linux server and one for my network/telecomm equipment. There's an older APC 500VA that I got through an Operation Feed auction a few years back that provides backup to my W2K server and another Linux box (mainly a DHCP/DNS/NTP server, though it is also an internal router...so I can monitor IVS traffic on my network).

Meanwhile, in my living room, I have the 1500VA AVR UPS that I mentioned above, and an APC SmartUPS 1250VA UPS. The SmartUPS to protect my DLP RPTV....

There's also 2 1800Watt PowerLine conditioners in my apartment. One covers all the non-UPS'd stuff around my main desktop computer and the other is in the Living room for the non-UPS'd stuff in my rack shelving (namely my receiver, DVD player and CD changer).

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
