« Digital TV changeover suggested for 2009 | Time Warner Update » |
Well, the mailman has been here...and I found 3 DVDs from NetFlix. They were the replacements that were mailed on July 11th after I had reported the previous 3 (mailed on July 6th) as lost.
I didn't select the option to have the same 'lost' disc sent to me as the replacement. I added the missing discs to my queue manually. Only I forgot to promote them to the top of my queue. (though it was kind of intentional....)
Meanwhile, they received the DVD I mailed back yesterday...so the first replacement to the 'lost' disc should ship later today.
One thing about todays mailing....the mailman and stuffed one into my box....and then he folded the other two to fit them in. For some reason he couldn't work out that putting it lengthwise is the normal way to put them in...but folding it into a square is the same....though now there's a crease in the return envelope....
One other thing....for some reason, one of the envelopes is addressed for Louisville, KY....instead of Dayton, OH (as the other two are). I don't remember which selection came from that envelope and as luck would have it....it was the one that got mutilated by the mailman before he resorted to folding the other two.
So, I'll either be short one return...until I watch two DVDs some weekend, so I can double up when I return.
Anyways, it is better for NetFlix, business wise, to get two DVDs in a single envelope.
Because a DVD is just over an ounce, so they would be charged for a 2 ounce mailing for each single DVD returned...but if you put two into an envelope, they get charged for a 3 ounce mailing.
