Service Call Scheduled

Well, I called Time Warner about the problems my SA8000HD is having. After a reboot cycle (I've already done this numerous times already), and the problem continuing. They setup a service call to have somebody come out.

It is scheduled for 12-2 on Tuesday.

Wonder if they'll give me an SA8300HD? I already have the DVI cable hanging down from the TV to the spot for it. It used to go to my Momitsu V880N, but I got a DVI-I to VGA adapter for it and go to the VGA input for that....because eventually, I'm going to having something that must use DVI...and I want to hold off on buying a DVI switcher for as long as possible.

Not sure what I'll do when I get the Mac Mini for my HT setup....but I do have a DVI-I to component video adapter somewhere. And, when the DVR goes to DVI...it'll free up a component input.

Though I am also contemplating a component video switcher (one that is remote controlled and includes toslink switching)....to combine my two HD OTA tuners. Right now one of the toslink cables is just hanging in the air...and sometimes the laser hits me on the sofa :)) Though when I do break down and have to get the DVI switcher...the OTA tuners could also go through this switcher....

No feedback yet

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
