Upgrade time again?

There's something about an impending trip that seems to trigger doing a rash of upgrades, risking leaving my equipment inoperable just before hand?

But, I've launched myself into doing them.

I'm upgrading various bits of software on my laptop and I upgraded the software on my BB7100t.

While the application upgrades on my laptop have been going okay, the upgrade of the BB7100t was a little bit more daring.

Upgraded the Desktop Manager when smoothly, then I tried to upgrade the the device software. First time it didn't even register at all. I had downloaded the upgrade sometime ago, but just been putting it off. Even though the T-Mobile website still gave the same version as the latest, I downloaded it again for try two. I resulted in a significantly differently named file (and a different size). This one seemed to work.

Except that apparently the old add-on themes I had on my unit conflicted with this version and it made things kind of hard to use. Plus afterwards, there were a bunch of extra icons again that I needed to hide. But, so far so good again.

Now the final (big) one on the burner is whether I'll get to upgrading the blogsite software before my trip....

No feedback yet

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
