« Port Triggering in Sveasoft | Pair of Silver Sensors » |
Well, one nice thing about the QoS/Wondershaper of the Sveasoft is that it has helped my ping times. As shown in my DSLreports line monitoring.
The first blue spike (on Saturday) is when I swapped my Linksys BEFSR81 for the Linksys WRT54GS w/Sveasoft. QoS was being used on the BEFSR81.
The second blue spike (on Sunday) is when I fiddled around with the Sveasoft settings....trying to get Port triggering to work. Unfortunately it looks like this feature doesn't work in the current version. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
Meanwhile, from PRTG we can see that there had been outgoing data in the last 24 hours....
But because my upstream isn't saturated now...my ping times stay good, which perhaps tonight I'll find my Vonage experience to be better. Well, I usually don't have a problem with what I get from Vonage...it is the other end that usually suffers.
Don't know when I'll exercise Lingo....perhaps after my number ports and when I find the right excuse to exploit western europe being in my 'local' calling area
