Blackberry "Switch Device Wizard" is flawed

Or, I will after I stop downloading all kinds of new stuff for it....like getting back my Doctor Who ringtone, or changing the wallpaper/theme....doesn't see to be any free GPS enabled apps though. The annoying thing is that Yahoo! Messenger doesn't seem to work, keeps saying I have to go to www.blackberry.com/go/yahoo to activate it. But, that just has me download, install, reboot again. And, I've tried using that URL from both my Blackberry Browser and IE on my desktop (since the install won't work from Firefox). I had initially installed it via a download link from Sprint.....

At least jmIrc kind of works on it....better than I can say about in on T-Mobile....even though we use as 'IM' at work...it isn't quite the experience I'm looking for on my Blackberry....

The wizard also moves contacts, tasks, memos and dates...though it is of little use, since I had pushed all these into Outlook (contacts in a special folder just for Blackberry use...the others linked with my Palm). Strange that it requires Outlook to also be my default mail, though I only use BIS for my email....won't work with Thunderbird as my default. Could be interesting, in that I don't have Outlook (or any Microsoft Office stuff) on my machine at work.

Otherwise, I was thinking of syncing its calendar with my work calendar....leaving my Palm with my home calendar.

At work we use Oracle Calendar....

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
