Blood Drive at K-State

While I was in 'recovery' I read about the people that don't donate blood...especially those that can't stand the sight of blood or needles. Yet, I overheard a person next to me in the waiting area get repulsed looking at the veins of her friend's arms...and saying how she doesn't like the sight of blood, etc. But, donating blood is a good enough reason to do it despite that....

OTOH, I heard from a friend that is O-neg, that he can't give blood because he's an International Student a K-State....which disqualifies him from giving blood in our country.....

I'm sure that has nothing to do with why my parents were against the whole donation of blood...though when they were here in Kansas as graduate students...they were International Students. Now I no longer feel the need to tell them each time I've given blood....I'm past the rebellious stage in life and it isn't such a big deal anymore...

Even though the local region only tracks the donations I've made in this region (this is my second).....what I know is my lifetime total is at 28 and counting.

Or 3.5 gallons?

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
