How to use the Blackberry 7100 as a GPRS Modem

The only other SNAFU, was that apparently the last time I used my printer was to print a #10 envelope from Stamps.com.

The problem with this, is that Stamps.com will only use whatever default settings my printer have at the moment....and ask from an approximate sized document as a #10 envelope. So, since the normal default is to print on regular letter paper from the upper tray, etc....that's what it tries to do...though it asks for a A5 size.

The printer feeds a page, and aborts because the size is wrong. While there is an option to change tray selection....the printer knows that A5 and #10 envelope are not the same size and won't allow stamps.com to use it interchangeably.

What I have to do is going into printer settings and change my default print mode for the printer to #10 envelope (from rear tray), before I attempt to print from Stamps.com. And, then remember to change my default settings back to my 'default settings' Otherwise, it'll waste envelopes (unless I happen to print from somewhere the specifies what size paper it wants...then I might luck out have it abort).

Fortunately, when I printed the blog entry that I used as the guide to attempt this...there was a paper jam, since the rear tray doesn't really handle paper all that well, and worse with envelopes.

Though the whole reason for the rear tray option was to do #10 envelopes. I'm not sure how to feed envelopes without it. I suppose someday I should sit down and figure it out, but so far I haven't had the need to print on anything other than #10 envelopes (via the rear tray) or 8.5x11 or 4x6 stock from the upper tray (using the slider option to choose between the two).

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
