Though I guess I'm not too worried....since I'm sure I read somewhere that the ReplayTV understands a TZ of:

CST6CDT,M3.2.0/2,M11.1.0/2

Which I suppose a zipcode refresh (or change) will get it to use this, and if DNNA hasn't/doesn't start doing this....I could try using WiRNS.... ;D

Well, turns out this didn’t work quite right.

Couldn’t figure out why ‘box’ seemed off from all my other machines by 40 seconds. Turns out the zoneinfo files that I had compiled using the download tzdata with zic, where the cause.

Moving /etc/localtime in and out I could see that there was an offset for UTC and ‘localtime’.

I restored back to the old timezone data, but now DST will be wrong….unless Novell releases a proper patch (or I come across code that will make things right….)

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.

And, it has been 4 years 10 months 1 day 10 hours 38 minutes and 16 seconds since The Doctor saved us all from the end of the World!
