What are they?

What are they?

Why they are the platters from an OEM Maxtor 7Y250P0 (250GB/8MB 7200RPM Hard Drive).

Somehow it wasn't quite as satifactory as when I took apart smaller capacity harddrives.

Its the drive that was in my ReplayTV known as "Number 7" (aka "The Dreamer 7")....the second 250GB Maxtor to have failed in this machine (the previous being a retail kit 250GB/8MB 7200RPM Maxtor), it is now using a 250GB/8MB OEM Seagate 7200RPM drive.

No feedback yet

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
