Made some performance tweaks....

I wish I had some idea of whether a 150Mhz CPU/150MB VPS (from dreamhost) would be better or worse than what I have now. And, if I need it for both the site and the mysql or not. And, what kind of increment above this I would need to achieve the desired performance.

Of course, I'm not really sure what the desired performance goal is for the site. :??:

OTOH, VPS should give me better consistency in performance. I have noticed while SSH'd into the box that the load jumps around quite a bit. Seems low end is around ~2-3, while typical is around ~5-8. But, I've seen it break 100...and sometimes long enough that the 5 and 15 LAV points are also in this ballpark.

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
