Time to upgrade my DSL again

Time to upgrade my DSL again

Currently, I have less time than I used to...to watch DVDs, and currently I'm not suffering with what I'm getting. Perhaps when I upgrade to a 50" TV, this'll all change :P

Or perhaps there'll be some other device...or increased use of what I have....

Namely, recently I've started catching up on shows that I recorded last spring, but didn't watch....and focusing on the ones that are returning this fall. Discovered that I was missing a couple of episodes of Eli Stone (guess they were airing two episodes at week near the very end...get it to finish on their schedule). My first instinct was to look to Amazon UnBox service to get the missing episodes....but it wasn't available this way, so no using TiVo HD to get them. Of course, all the episodes I did record were on my ReplayTV....so I had to settle to getting them that way. Which is less instantaneous than Unbox would've been.

As it was, I made the discovery late Saturday night....and was able to have both downloaded to resume the marathon watching I was doing on Monday night. Though staying up to 1am was probably a bit of a mistake. ;D

So....wonder how close to 6.0m/768k AT&T can get with my DSL upgrade. Is there secretly more capability in the line? Since the line significantly improved for the last upgrade. Or will I land somewhere under the theoretical limit that DSLreports is giving for my line. (which should still be acceptable). :??:

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
