I got an Airport Extreme

Well, things didn't go so well when I set it up. The Airport has its own ideas on what my home network should look like and I couldn't get it to work the way I needed it to.

But, while I was going through the setup I saw that it could be put into bridge mode...and that answered the old question.

So, I put my old WRT54GS back into place (with wondershaper/QoS disabled). And, then reset the Airport and went about putting it into bridge mode, etc. It gets its own network settings by DHCP and now fits my network.

And, one last change was to reduce my network by one 5-port gigabit switch....

Oh, and I switched my VoIP ATA to use Cox again...the RTVs saying on DSL.

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
