Getting dry in my condo, cooler too.

So, there's a 4-for-3 promotion...and 3 of the items I have qualify....though after a diversion on that....added 2 other items, dropped one and upgraded another. Needed two new roasting pans in the kitchen....decided the big one would be too much work to save, annoyed between burned on gunk and rust. Getting a stainless steel one, maybe it'll do better (was originally looking at a non-stick coated one again....though Emeril ware, but decided to go stainless steel instead....didn't notice the 4-for-3 applied to it.) The other smaller one....is to replace the cheaper pans I had gotten some time ago from Publisher's Clearing House. I don't recall what I was thinking when I bought them....so wasn't sure they would ever serve a purpose...but then one day...they did, and they've been getting a lot of use. But, its just black paint on steel....and they've been falling victim to rust. So, had planned to replace it soon. That was the item where I saw the 4-for-3 promotion.

Noticed that replacement wicks for the humidifier also qualified, so at first I had added that to my cart...but while looking for a 4th item....I found two other items that I wanted. Been meaning to get a better container to store buckwheat and millet hulls in, also need to wash the case soon. So, had spotted one a while back on Amazon that I wanted. And, finding it part of the 4-for-3 promotion...I added it in....bumping the wicks. What lead me to see if this item was available under the promotion, was that I found other storage containers available...and spotted a stainless steel air-tight canister....something that I had been looking for to replace the container I used to have on my counter next to my hot water pot. Originally, it was a plastic/silicone thing....that starting looking pretty bad after numerous trips in my dishwasher, so I got a glass one (earlier this year).... yeah....with all the problems I've been having health wise, etc. lately....glass wasn't such a good idea. Let's try stainless steel.

So, now my cart is much bigger...so I definitely went for 6 months no interest....though its annoying, because it means that now I have to push other major purchases off 6 months. To where it starts competing with my fall travel plans. Guess I'll put off new stove another year....though last night it did put out copious amounts of smoke when I was using it, more than I had ever seen it do. Another element I can't use anymore, I guess.

I can worry about wicks next year...since the humidifier is going to come with a set, and I have an extra set now. And, they would've been the cheapest item of the 4 if I hadn't bumped it off. The small roasting pan became the cheapest item. FWIW.

Interesting, watching how amazon breaks up the order into multiple shipments/transactions....also interesting...that one of the items I ordered, now shows as out of stock. I did notice some of the items in my cart had limited number available as I was going through the checkout...guess that was one of them.

But, I like to know what the charges hitting my card are going to be, before they appear....

The 4-for-3 items were:

  1. Lock&Lock 406-Fluid Ounce Rectangular Container with Handle and Tray, Tall, 50-Cup
  2. KitchenAid Gourmet Distinctions 16.5-Inch Roaster with Rack, Stainless Steel
  3. OXO SteeL Press Top Canister, 1.2-Quart
  4. Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Roast 'N Broil Pan with Non-Stick Rack, 13 by 9 by 2-1/4-Inch

Neat thing about how Amazon broke things out…is that the ‘free’ item ended up as its own shipment/charge. But, they applied the credit proportionally spread out over the 4 items (4 of the 5 shipments/charges)….which due to round-offs, increased the credit by 1 cent. :D

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
