Atlantic Modern 28" Upright - Two-Tone Blue/Silver

Link: http://www.ebags.com/atlantic/modern_28_upright/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=13341

Hmmm, I wonder if there's a reason this particular bag has been discontinued?

I have completed my second trip using this bag. The first time was a trip to Calgary via AA, on the return I had to collect it from the AA baggage office at the airport. No explanation, except that TSA inspected it and put it on an earlier flight from Chicago to Columbus.

And, now my second trip...the return from the cruise...Anchorage to Columbua, via Chicago.

Again, it wasn't on the carousel when I went to claim my baggage. A visit to United's baggage office showed that it had been scheduled to come on a later flight from Chicago, and then that later flight was cancelled.

At first they were saying sometime after 12 the next day...except the early AM flights from Chicago are United Express...the small airplanes, rather than something like the 737 I came back on. I don't know why the hold up...since I can't see it as space or time issue. Since, the flight from Chicago to Columbus was repeatedly delayed....and even after all the rushing to get us to sit down so they push off quickly....there was still a delay in getting pushed off.

There were a bunch of AirNet Express bags that accompanied the flight....I guess air cargo shipments take priority over passenger bags.:`(

Anyhoo...hopefully, everything will be alright tomorrow....

Cruising and Vertigo

Link: http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/custom/blogs/travel/entries/cruising/index.html

Here I am....spending the night in Anchorage, trying to cool down (no A/C in the rooms, but the hallways are cool....so lots of people with their doors open, most of the people on the floor are cruisers as well...and one would hope they kept us Princess cruisers seperate from the Holland America cruisers staying in the same building.)

Anyways...taking advantage of the complimentary wireless Internet, I find myself doing two main things on line...and both related to cruising. Actually, 3 main things if you included this, 'blogging about cruising'.

The other two things? Researching Princess.com and Travelocity.com for ideas on future cruises.

And, the other is searching for stuff on Dizziness/Vertigo and Cruising.

I'm back

Sort of.... :??:

I thought extending my stay in Achorage would allow me to be more leisure about leaving the ship this morning. And, it was, but now I have to be up even earlier than I would've from the ship to catch my flight home tomorrow.

And, I guess I screwed up my booking....and didn't notice until it was too late to notice that I didn't have any tour options selected for my stay in Whittier/Anchorage. So, I basically sat at the hospitality center guarding my hand luggage until the hotel would accept check ins. And, then that was about it.

I was a real struggle getting into the mood of eating 'normal' again. And, later I'll probably just go to bed early, even though I usually just sleep on the airplane :zz:

I suppose since it is going to stay bright for so long, perhaps I should wander around downtown a bit....though with the sun low, and the threat of rain...and being in the middle of a heat wave....it isn't actually that great.

Though there is problem with the fact that there is no A/C in the hotel room. :**:

At least there is complimentary high speed wireless Internet (802.11b).....;D

I guess I'm packed....

...I think I got everything crammed into my suitcase.

I'm already dreading the end of my vacation....'cause it should be interesting to see how I get everything packed up again. :lalala:

As horrible as it sounds, I've decided to not take my iPod with me. )-o I kind of ran out of room and couldn't figure out a really good way to make it go with me. Though it was partly more about the space for all the accessories, and the fact that I don't have a good pair of headphones...and none at home. So, it was either slip into the office to fetch them or run out to the store and buy something.

I just decided that I'll do with out. I'm expecting that I won't exactly get all that much time to use it anyways.

Update on last minute stuff.....

Well, apparently the AppleCare for my iPod arrived yesterday...except for my last day at work before my vacation...I stayed in the office until 7pm, so I couldn't make it to apartment management office to pick it up (6pm close).

The OneTouchII that I ordered from ZipZoomFly.com should've also arrived today...but according to the FedEx tracking they again claim to have attempted a delivery (without leaving any evidence at my home of the attempt), and seems odd....because FedEx emailed me earlier this month saying that effective June 1st...they no longer require signatures for deliveries to residential addresses (unless the shipper pays extra for it.)

This is aside from the fact that I have a signed agreement with the apartment management office that authorizes them to sign for packages on my behalf, and I also have on several occasions filled out and signed the release card with FedEx for the same effect.

Also, I can't see why the ZipZoomFly.com would pay extra for signature proof for its 'free 2nd day delivery'. Though maybe because I checked the box that the address is a residential address, this triggers them doing this. Of course, the darn merchants won't ship the package to my office address...because that isn't where I have my credit card bills sent to. They won't even accept if I give them both my billing and shipping addresses.

Though I do have a relationship with some merchants that will ship to my work address without the hassle. Yet other merchants where I have a long relationship still won't.

Of course, I'd probably buy even more stuff regularly from ZipZoomFly.com, if they did.... :))

Meanwhile....I'm waiting for a pizza delivery which I just ordered online from PizzaHut.com. ;D

Now instead of subjecting some poor random forum to a long rambling thought, I will try to consolidate those things into this blog where they can be more easily ignored profess to be collected thoughts from my mind.
