Anybody know of a good and inexpensive digital camera that functions under low light. Good for flash-less indoor shots.
Need something good for taking candids at parties that is shirt pocketable and I don't need to worry too much if it takes a swim...I've drowned a couple of film cameras in my time.
Also useful to sneaking into concerts....
Somebody may have asked....
Is there any point in using the component outputs to my TV from a ReplayTV, even if I only have just basic cable?
Well, take a look at this...and draw your own conclusions.
The Display is a Samsung HLN4365W1, the show was recorded in Standard from analog cable. The Left image is Component and Right image is S-Video from the same ReplayTV.
The end of this story?

what the description doesn't say is it's qty. 2
The drives arrived on July 29th (Thursday)....and I had intended to upgrade one per night....and possibly delay until Friday night to start. But I ended up doing both that night.
Haven't decided the fate of the 5508 that I don't own, but I share my apartment with
Leaning towards letting the 160 from my 5160 materialize in it.....but since it is old and I've done 3 or 4 factory resets...and it has had other problems...I'm thinking I want to do a lowlevel format first....except the dos software to do this can't see the firewire adapters on my SFF-PC. I'm hoping the PCMCIA IDE adapter I've recently ordered will.
I'm already thinking of getting another ReplayTV.....
I'm watching much more TV than I did before my RTVs...so I need more to handle conflicts than I did before
My switch back to Time Warner from Adelphia coincided with my first RTV....Sci Fi wasn't available from Adelphia....so that's one area of increase....plus I'm watching other networks much more as well...such as G4TechTV, Lifetime, Bravo, BBCA, HBO/SHO, etc. that I probably wouldn't have ever thought about getting before.
Not sure if it was just the RTVs' fault....I blame IVS. I wouldn't have discovered some of these shows if I didn't see people requesting them
Anyways, I'm scratching my head wondering how I missed a show on Sunday....turns out it was because DVArchive 3.0 flagged the wrong show as the conflict loser (so I have extra recordings of that show, but not the one that actually lost) Otherwise, I could've rescheduled it correctly. The problem was a show that normally is a 8pm, shifted to 9pm....
Of course...when fall rolls around....I can already see that I'm going to have trouble...with all the non-broadcast networks that I also watch now. My four machines were:
1. CBS/PAX, 2. FOX/UPN, 3. NBC/WGN, 4. ABC/Stargate
But, where do I put, PBS, USA, TNT, TBS, SciFi, Bravo, DISN, TOON, etc. I've been sprinkling them about right now....but the conflict situation has been progressively getting worse.
5. is digital cable, and 6. is OTA HDTV....but I guess I'm gonna make 6 standard cable as well now. Though should I share it or not?
I wouldn't mind another box on digital cable....but so far nobody has come out with cablecard STBs yet (but hopefully when they do, it'll be controllable by ReplayTV).
