Did my 2008 Taxes
Intended to just quickly enter the W2 and 1099 forms, to get a rough idea of how bad I'll owe this year.
But, preliminary findings is that I'll get a refund of $2288 from federal and $384 from state. This is largely due to the deductions of being a home owner....or perhaps entirely....
I'll go sleep on the this...and then review things in closer detail tomorrow and then see about e-filing.
Follow up:
The sad thing is that the refund will mostly be used to pay bills...that I've been running up this year, or ones that I've been scratching my head trying to figure out how I'll cover in the coming year....

Made some slight tweaks to my return....refund will likely now only be $2263 Federal and $377 State. The change was remembering that I won a prize last year, though I didn't receive a 1099-MISC...and the part of the interview to record prize winnings wouldn't let me record prizes that I didn't get a 1099-MISC for.
Yet, other interview questions want me to report other 1099 type income...even if I didn't receive a 1099-?? for it this year. Though perhaps I'm just too honest.
Blame the economy that I didn't earn enough interest in a bank account for them to report my interest earnings?
